Major Ed Pulido, U.S. Army (Ret.) is a Senior VP of the Folds of Honor Foundation, a charity that provides educational scholarships to the families of fallen and wounded soldiers. Pulido founded the Warriors for Freedom Foundation, a leadership institute focused on the mental, physical, and wellness support of our wounded veterans and their families. While serving in August 2004, an IED explosion led to the amputation of his left leg. For his heroism and valor, the POTUS and Gen. David Petraeus awarded him the Bronze Star with Valor, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, and Joint Service Commendation and Achievement Medals.

Jose Ferreira is the founder of Knewton, the world’s leading adaptive learning company. Jose earned his MBA from Harvard. He was formerly an executive at Kaplan, a strategist for John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign, and most recently, a partner at New Atlantic Ventures (formerly Draper Atlantic), investing in new media and SaaS companies. He currently serves on the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Education & Skills, as well as the advisory boards for Laureate International Universities, Cambridge University Press, and the ASU/GSV Education Innovation Summit.

Mark Mitsui currently serves as the President of Portland Community College and previously served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Community Colleges in the Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education in the U.S. Department of Education from August of 2013 to August of 2016. As the department's liaison to the community college sector, Mark worked to enhance communication with these important institutions and connect them with a wide array of federal resources. He engaged in a variety of interagency and White House task forces to further completion and equity agendas.
